All-Booper Team: Celebrating 5 Years of Excellence

With the Booper Bare League completing it's fifth year of existence. The Commish has decided it is time to recognize the Owners and Players that have made this league the most popular in the world. I would also like to honor the original owners still remaining by grandfathering them into the league. That means they will be part of a committee that will work with the Commish to settle any controversies.

Now to honor the Booper Greats:
QB: Tyler Thigpen- Led the 2008 Waynesboro Morning Eagles to become the worst QB ever to win a Booper Championship and playing like a warrior every step of the way.
RB: Steven Jackson- Steven Jackson has been to 4 out of the 5 championships and losing in the conference championships in his fifth year.
WR: Wes Welker- Since the Booper Bare League was started Welker has caught 600 passes.
WR/TE: Rob Gronkowski- Though he hasn't been in the league that long, Gronkowski was the star player of the most recent champion and anytime you say the Tight End was the star of a championship winning team that is pretty impressive.

Honorable Mention: Patrick Willis- He was the most dominant player in the first year of the GO SKINS league. He scored more points than Tom Brady when he threw 50 Touchdowns. Since that league doesn't exist we still honor his contributions and welcome him to the Booper Bare Hall of Fame.

Now for the owners:

Kurt Bugden- Denver Dirty Hippies
Mr. Bugden was the CREATOR of the league and serves not only as the owner of one of the most consistent teams in the league but, he also serves as commissioner. The Hippies went to the first 3 championships in league history and were one game away from going to a fourth championship. Mr. Bugden has also won MVP of the league and holds the single season scoring record.

Andrew Shue- Southside Shredders
Mr. Shue has created one of the most historic and until this year one of the more successful teams in Booper history. Known for his Shredder sense, Shue is known to send out questionable lineups that end up working out for him. Mr. Shue, we salute you.

Drew Bugden- All-American Mega Douchebags
Mr. DBag lives up to his team name. He is the wild card owner of our league making some of the sketchiest moves in league history. He kept Reggie Bush and kept Peyton Manning a year when Manning didn't play. He has traded Calvin Johnson away for Braylon Edwards but he has always found a way to be competitive and talk trash. He recently went to his first championship.

Randy Groves- Warrior Chickens
Mr. Groves has won the most trophies in Booper Bare League History. He was the oiginal champion of the GO SKINS league and in the last two years he has won 2 Horse Ass Awards. Mr. Groves is known for getting drunk at the draft and saying F the Lions!

Clay Parker- Orlando PolaPandas
Mr. Parker has had a consistently underachieving team. He tends to be one of the highest scoring teams but always finds ways to lose it in the end. He has changed his team name between several different bears and recently tried to combine them to win. Lets hope it works out.

Joel Bugden- Mr. Bugden had won a horse ass trophy... He also is known for playing 1950's style football with multiple TE's and RB's... Nothing else to say about this owner.

Nathan Edwards- Mr. Edwards won the 2008 Booper Bare League Championship. He helped create the name of the league and helped in creating the original trophy. His teams are known for trading down and getting depth over talent. HE WON WITH TYLER THIGPEN AS HIS QB.

On another note the search continues for a new owner. We have 4 possible candidates so far and we are still accepting applications. One candidate has been compared to Nastyville owner Jason Crum.  Please send your questions for the application to the commish as soon as possible. The new owner will be announced when the Redskins make their 1st round pick this year.

The Booper Bare League is investigating moving the league to a new website. Stay tuned for details...

  1. Nice writeup, it's always good to read about the history of the league. While Drew did go to his first championship, you forgot to mention that he also LOST his first championship as well. To none other than Rob Gronkowski and the Weyers Cave Wompats! Gooo wompats!

    1. I support the commish on this one. I am glad he is getting this issue out of the way by the NFL draft. Our league needs to move on from the Quesadilla and move towards an owner who cares...who wants to win...who talks trash even though his team may suck
